The Books of Aarhus
Analyzing the transactions of materials at the libraries in Aarhus Municipality.
The municipality of Aarhus administrates 19 different public libraries distributed throughout the greater Aarhus area. Since the beginning of 2013 the time and place of all individual loan and borrow transaction have been made available for the general public through the Open Data Aarhus initiative.
This interactive visualization shows the usage of these libraries by measure of the number of transactions distributed across the individual libraries, the day of the week, the time of day, and the type of the transaction.
This interactive visualization aggregates a total number of 891900 borrow and loan transactions from the 22. of February 2013 to the 22. of May 2013.
This data has been aggregated from around 100 MB to around 50 KB, in order to facilitate responsive interaction.
